ask a questionA milestone birthday brings together people who are rarely in one room at the same time — relatives, old friends, colleagues. Phone snapshots seldom capture that, and the person celebrating is almost never in the photos themselves.
With a photographer there, you get to be both host and guest at your own party — and afterwards you have a story of the evening, not just a few blurry shots from the dance floor.
I photograph children’s parties too — at the children’s own pace, without directing the play. The parents end up in the photos as well, which rarely happens otherwise.
