This is not a posed studio newborn session with wraps, baskets and props. I photograph the first days with your baby the way I photograph everything else — as they actually happen, at home or on the day you leave the hospital.

ask a questionIf you are looking for the classic posed newborn set — baby asleep in a basket, wrapped and arranged, shot in a studio — that is not what I do, and I would rather say so upfront than have you book the wrong kind of session.
What I do instead is document the days as they are: tired and happy parents, a baby who is awake or asleep on their own schedule, an older sibling meeting the new arrival, the specific light and mess and calm of those first days at home.
A popular version of this session covers the day you bring the baby home — arriving at the door, the first hours in your own space. It can also be any day in the following weeks, whenever things have settled enough for a visit.
Either way, the session is built around your household\u{2019}s actual rhythm that day, not a fixed shot list.
