Photographer for your baby’s christening

A church ceremony is a special genre of photography that requires a certain skill from the photographer: it's important to convey the graceful atmosphere of the church and tell the story, through photographs, of the people taking part in the sacrament of baptism or marriage. The task is made harder by the fact that church lighting is usually dim — without proper experience it's hard to handle, but the reward is high: truly unique, atmospheric photographs.
Like all the shoots I do (weddings, love stories, event reportage), this one has its own deep meaning, and it brings back an incredible feeling of nostalgia years later. The main character of this story is, of course, the child being baptized. They'll smile, cry, make sweet little faces, wince at the water in the font, and snuggle in the christening towel in their godparents' arms. The godparents, in turn, take on a great commitment before God to raise a worthy Orthodox person. It's a great day for a little person — baptism is a spiritual birth. It's a great honor for me to be part of such bright moments!
Newborn photo sessions are quite rare in our region, so the christening may be your child's very first photoshoot, and the photographs will bring great joy to the whole family for years to come.
In the life of any Orthodox family there's a celebration you want to remember forever — that's a child's christening. Receptions in honor of a christening are not uncommon. This task is more familiar to me, since church shoots make up only a small part of my work, and I more often shoot birthdays, corporate events and similar reportage.
